What's In a Name?
“The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.” -- Friedrich von Hayek, The Fatal Conceit: The Errors of Socialism
Curious Task Strategies was inspired by these wise words from Austrian economist F.A. Hayek. It's a stinging indictment of government central planners. The question at hand in politics and government is not, Will there be planning? Of course there will. The question that really matters is, Who will do the planning? Who plans for whom? With this in mind, Curious Task Strategies seeks to help our clients build communications strategies that pursue ends that maximize individual liberty and empower people.
To again quote Hayek — or, at least, the F.A. Hayek portrayed in the EconStories Keynes vs. Hayek rap video — we want plans by the many, not by the few.
